Airport to Downtown Transportation $1

I noticed that the NIWeek 2011 Attendee Travel Information  on the NIWeek 2011 page lists the Super Shuttle for $13+.

In case anyone is looking for a greener (and cheaper) ride from the airport (AUS/ABIA) to downtown hotels, check out the Capital Metro Transit 100 AIRPORT FLYER route.  Just $1.00 per ride each way.  It's quick and makes only a few stops.

It only runs every 45 mins, so maybe it won't meet your schedule.  But if it does, it's an excellent option.  I used it both ways last year.

You might want to check / print out the map/schedule before you head to Austin to see if it works for you.

Thanks for mentioning this again. (Here is the US, public transportation seems to be generally ignored.)

I have always taken the airport flyer when going to NI week. A few years ago it was only 50 cents.

I agree that NI should mention the 100 airport flyer in the travel information page. That's where it belongs!
