Hello,

I am going to build a system having the following functions:

1. to read infromation from 48 nodes through RS485 bus (baud rate 38,400 bits/s),

2. to send out control information to the actuators through either CAN bus or LIN bus.

3. simple algorithm to generate control information based on read information

4. each node read period should be within 10 ms.

5. each actuator shoule be updated every 10 ms.

6. system should have ethernet communication capability to send out data to another host PC.

Can you recommend me the archetect with your NI products (not limited to PXI)?

Thank you for contacting National Instruments. You can accomplish the setup you desire with our CAN devices shown here and our Serial devices shown here. Depending on which connection you want PXI, PCI, USB, you can sort out the different devices. You can use any number of programming platforms such as Labview, Labwindows/CVI, or VB to communicate with these instruments.
