"missing" pxi bus

I am trying to setup a 8186 controller with a 1006 chassis. Currently in max 4.0 i can see pxi buses 0,2,3,4 but not 1. What would reserve/take this bus and is there a way to get it back. The setup i have works on a 8176 controller fine so i know the software/hardware do work but need to get this working. Many thanks in advance

This looks as though it may be that an error caused simply in the numbering as opposed to the hardware of your PXI. although the numbering of the bridges has changed can you still detect in MAX a card placed into any slot?

This could be a change in one of the PXI system .ini files due to some fault or corruption. What is the current functionality of the system?
