ni5660 Demo Panel

Hi,
I use the 5660 Demo Panel to watch the power spectrum of the BPSK signal,
and found that max power of input is about -20dBm; (screen
shoot of setting and outcome attached.) Why? should it be 0dBm?

Hi,

The reference power level on the generation side refers to all the power in the signal. Although the peak power in the bandwidth is -20dBm, the sum of all the spectral power would be equal to 0dBm. If you were to narrow the Symbol Rate bandwidth, then you would see the power in the bandwidth increase closer to 0dBm.
