In our system PXI 1033, one RF downconverter (5600) and one pre-amplifier (5690) are to be populated.The system came with 5600 installed.So it was easy for testing 5600.Unfortunately when 5690 is inserted in the adjoining slot, neither does it get detected nor get installed.Actually when 5690 is inserted, the 5600 which was earlier tested fails to get detected.I followed all the instructions in the document 'Getting started Guide NI 5690 RF Pre-amplifier'.
It is also found that when 5690 is removed , 5600 is getting detected and functions properly (5600 is in slots 2,3 and 4 and 5690 was inserted in slot 5).
Can you tell me whether any special installation procedures are to be followed?
