incremental encoder with PXI 6602

Hi everyone,

I have this PXI 6602 and 3 incremental NPN encoders with 2000 pulses/revolution. I had it wired with the TB-2715 terminal block using ctr1, ctr2 and ctr3 (according to the connector pin assignment in NI 660x doc.) and plugged into the PXI-1033 chasis.

 My sample clock source and my trigger source are both PFI 34.

However when I tried to run the Meas Angular Position-Buffered-Cont-Ext Clk-Arm Start Trig1.vi, I began to receive inconceivable numerical datas of 0 and 0.45 in the data column.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? Is it due to my setup or is it due to incompatible program?

Hi ZhiSheng,

It would be very helpful to know the exact configuration that you have your counters connected in. By this I mean the exact pin numbers each line is connected to. This will help to verify that each counter is connected to the proper terminals and configured properly in the VI. A screen shot of the VI front panel will also help to confirm your configuration. Please post back with this information and we can take a look at some possibilities.
