how do I measure a second rising edge on the PXI 5152 scope

I am using the PXI 5152 and it seems to only measure the very first waveform it 'sees'. How do I measure a second or third etc. edge of a waveform? I can use the period feature and do a math function, but what about a non-clock signal. There has to be a better work around. Please help if you have experienced this.

Hi Raid,

It sounds like you want to capture repeated waveforms using a trigger: each time a trigger condition is found, you want the hardware to grab a record. With the NI-SCOPE driver, this is called multi-record fetching, and there is an example for both LabVIEW and C that shows how to do this. The driver installs shortcuts to these examples in the Start menu: Programs » National Instruments » NI-SCOPE » Examples » (your application environment). From there, it will be straightforward to use the code in the example with your application.
