Will a PCIe Host card drive a PXI (non-PXIe) system over MXI?

Hello,

I have a PCI host connected to a PXI chassis using a MXI-Express system. My Information Technology (IT) support is out there saying they can't get computers with PCI slots, the computers today only come with PCIe slots. I have existing PXI chassis with PXI MXI-Express systems.

Is there a PCIe card from NI that will connect to non-PCIe chassis? I'm thinking no, but I'm often wrong about things like this.

Yes, NI PCIe-8361 host card will interface with the PXI controller (ex. PXI-8360)
