Unable to view all my devices in the Remote Systems \ Devices and interfaces

I am trying to set up a Real-Time system using a PXI-1045 and PXI-8106 embedded controller. On my host machine I am able to view the chassis through Remote Systems in the Measurement and Automation Explorer, however when i go into the Devices and Interface tab, i am unable to view all my devices. Can anyone tell me how i go about configuring the system so that i may control all my hardware as a Real Time system.

Hi Dave,

I have a funny feeling I may have spoken to you on the phone earlier, but just incase this is a different Dave, (!!) you need to boot the PXI system into safe mode and then check what's installed on the remote target in MAX (right click on software in the remote system, and select Add/Remove Software). Have a look at the software installed on the system; is DAQmx installed and VISA etc) What cards do you have in the system??
