Synchronisation between 2 PXI via MXI-4

    Hi,

I would use severall PXI chassis linked with MXI-4.
Is MXI-4 compatible with the RTSI synchro lines of PXI ? Or do I use an external trigger to do that ?

Hi,
You can not use the MXI 4 card to make a synchronization.

There is several ways to synchronize PXI chassis.

I cant' use PXI-6651-6652-6653 because there is about 40 meters between 2 PXI chassis.
It seems to me this is a very long distance for the use of an external clock, but I'm going to try an external trigger to synchronise the start of the 3 acquisistions.

If somebody has another idea ...
