Reintalling Windows 2000 on PXI 1010

I work in the IT department for my company. I have a PXI 1010 that has a virus that cannot be removed. The only way to fix it is to reinstall Windows 2000. Since the Chassis does not have a CD drive I have tried using a usb external DVD drive but I get an error while I am booting from the Windows CD saying inaccessible boot device. What is the typical way to reinstall Windows on a PXI 1010?
