Problems with Max dectecting my Remote RT controller

Lets see if I can explain this sufficently for anyone to help.

I have a PXI setup with two chassis one for the windows xp controller and one for the RT controller that boots up in rt mode.  Both controllers are PXI-8187

I have my network cable plugged into the 8232 ethernet card and then the ethernet port on the xp controller is cat 5'd to a ethernet card (8232) on the RT controller chassis.  The rt controller ip is 10.10.10.1 and I set the tcp/ip of the net connection from the GUI (xp controller) to the RT controller as the 10.10.10.1.

Max still wont detect the Remote controller

I have checked the subnets and set the rt connection's subnet to the same as the XP subnet 255.255.252.0

and still no luck.

I know this may be confusing but if anything registers please reply.

Hi,

If I understand you correctly you have on both sides the same IP address.  That won't work. Set one of them to 10.10.10.2
