The USRP communicates with a host computer over a gigabit Ethernet (NI 294x/295x devices support both PCI Express and Ethernet bus connections) for maximum throughput. If your computer does not have a gigabit Ethernet interface then you can use Gigabit Ethernet PCI Adapter (if working with a desktop computer) or a USB 3.0 to Ethernet LAN Adapter (if working with a laptop).
