Does any one know the fix for PXIe-1073 built-in PCIe controller Device driver error, PCI Express standard Upstrem Switch Port. Window 7 loads the driver for it but fail with error code 31. PCI Express standard Downstrem Switch Port drivers loads fine.

Have you checked to make sure you are running the most updated PXI Platform Services?

Additionally, you may try repairing the drivers through Windows Device Manager. As I'm sure you already know, Error 31 is just pointing to an error in Windows 7 for loading the device driver. Hopefully repairing/updating could solve some issues. Let me know if you have already taken this step.

There are multiple upstream and downstream ports. If there's an error on an upstream port, there are additional (missing) downstream ports below it that you're not seeing.
This is what you'd see if you powered the chassis on after the PC. Are you powering the chassis first?
If you're powering up correctly I'd try the MXI BIOS compatibility software. You'll need to install the software and flip a switch on the PCIe card.

Since you're seeing ports labeled as upstream and downstream your PC is enabling Windows native PCIe control. You try disabling that:

I still have the same issue after installing http://www.ni.com/download/mxi-express-bios-compatibility-software-1.5/3764/en/. The issue is that with the PXIe-1073 chassis power ON my PC will hang during boot up. The PC uses AMI BIOS very basic, The ony setup for PCI is PERR# Generation that is set to Disable.
Working with NI tech support is not a lot of help either, I get stuff like try a different MXI cable which I don't have a second one. Try a new MXI PCIe card which I don't have a second one. Installed the PCIe MXI card in new computer which I do not have a second PC.
Any help I can get is appreciated.
