PXI trig on PXI-8105 controller

Hello,

Anyone know if the PXI-Trigger bus can be sourced by a PXI-8105 controller?

The user manual mentions routing triggers to/from the front mounted SMB and also block diagram shows  connection of triggers to controller.

I would like place processor controlled signal  on the trigger bus.

Thank you!

Howdy nuflare,

The best method to import or export PXI trigger lines to external connectors is to use the National Instruments 6653 Timing and Synchronization Module. To find out more about using the NI 6653, please refer to KnowledgeBase 38787B0M and the NI 6653 User Manual.  Using the SMB connector on the front panel of the controller to route signals to the backplane is currently not supported by NI.  However, there is BETA software written for LabVIEW that allows you to route a signal to/from the PXI Trigger Lines from/to the SMB connector.  Please open an email service request to obtain this program.
Sincerely,
