PXI halt

Who can tell me why the PXI halt when I delete the file, and the file cann't be openned even, maybe the file is too large, but I really need to delete it.

Before we trouble shooting this problem, there are several issues should be clarified: what is your PXI controller? What operation system are you operating in ? What is the format of your file? Where did you saved it in your system? What do you mean by halt, is your system shutdown or it shows blue screen? You need to describe your questions more specific. Thank you.

Thanks for your replying! The controller is NI PXI-8109, Files in the folder is data files, format is .DAT, files are saved in the C:\ of  PXI, operation system is RT ,the system is shutdown when I delete the folder, the MAX shows the PXI is disconnected, so I have to reboot by the power source

I think you may delete the file that related to RT system. Why the file must be deleted? Is it a file that you generated? What is the file's name?
