PXI 8145

Hello,

I am having some some problem with the PXI 8145 RT.

My application uses the PXI 8145RT and a multifunction DAQ 6031E.
Basically, when I launch the main application on my Host PC, I have to load an Excel file (each line is a test step) first on the Host and then send the all data to the PXI 8145 RT.
Problem is: If this file has more than 357 lines, the application will hang.
It's not a Memery problem since it has 160 MB and the file I m trying to load has only some hundred KB

any idea about what is going on?

Thanks

Toty

Hi Toty,

If I understand you right, you have a program on the host that reads an excel file and send the content of the file to the 8145. If the excel has more than 357 lines, the program on the host is hanging ?

Could you please post your host VI ?

Yes,

This is the behaviour of the application.
I am almost sure, the problem is comming from the RT side, since I know that it's receiving the all data.
I'm thinking of the RT FIFO
I'am not sure I can post the application, it is quite big.

Thanks,

Toty

Hi back Toty,

Do you have any error that shows up (do you handle them all) ?

Did you try to reduce your code and check what part of it is causing the issue ?

Hi Mathieu,

Yes, I have reduced the code to try to locate the error. I have no positive result for now.

Thankds,

Hi Mathieu,

My problem is probably related to the DRAM size.
Is it possible to have more than 128 Mo DRAM for this controler.

Hi Toty,

Sorry for the delay, I took some vacation. Our advisor - www.ni.com/advisors - let me think that the maximum amount of ram is 128Mo (see the attached picture)

You should try to send you sequence part by part. This is kind of harder to program but the only solution in your case.

Regards,
