PXI 1042 freezing while in windows then refuses to start up.

Hi, 

I have a problem that has happened twice in the last few months; while running normaly in windows it freezes, and then will refuse to start up afterwards.

hardware:

PXI-1042 with PXI-8106 controller.

and i have USB devices connected to it including two cameras.

The last time it frooze and refused to startup, i unplugged all USB devices (not sure whether this is related) and then tried again later, and it worked. I do not beleive that the USB devices are drawing anywhere near the max rating of the ports.

I would appreicate any help.

Hi Aaron,

Does this happen for any USB device and not just these cameras? If you unplug and then plug them back in, will it start up with them still connected? What types of cameras are they and can you update the driver for them?

You may want to try updating your controller's bios as detailed in the KnowledgeBase below.
