NI-IMAQ for USB cameras : Employment of 2 webcams at the same time ??

Hi everybody, I have some questions about PXI and NI vision, especially the IMAQ USB Visions function.

First of all, I’d like to know if it’s possible to work with two different USB cameras running at the same time.

And, I ‘d like to run these two cameras on a PXI embedded controller, I think it should work if I upload NI Vision (containing the IMAQ USB Visions function). But, do I need to install the drivers of the two webcams inside the PXI? If it’s the case, I have to install windows first, I guess. Isn’t it?

Hello,

I'm not an expert in IMAQ but i know that the use of 2 USB cameras can be a problem. In opposition to PCMCIA cameras it is not possible to affect one part of the frame rate to each camera. The overall behaviour will be unpredictable.
