NI 8353 noise issues

I have a NI 8353 controller with 4 250GB disks. The disks themselves make a lot of noise in operation. Is there a way to spin-down or reduce the speed of the disks somehow when they are not being used to acquire data ?

Good suggestion, however at the moment I'm stuck using the XP installation that came pre-installed on my controller. The Intel Raid software installed has no options for disk spin-down, I may have to move the controller to a different room, and run some long extension cables.
