Looking for driver for ven_1093&dev_c801 for xp sp3

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a PXI-8105 I have been asked to rebuild the drive for. I have downloaded the driver file from the NI web site and got the ethernet card and a video card driver to install. I still show 4 other drivers not installed. One is the VEN_1093&DEV_C801, which shows up as a simple communications controller. There are 2 unknowns and another vga controller. I tried to install the NI web sites Chipset driver but that did not seem to fix any drivers. Any help would be very appreciated.

One of the unknows is acpi\nic7018\4&c7dc4fc&0 the other is acpi\nic7019\4&c7dc4fc&0

The other vga is ven_8086&dev_27ae    8086 is intel and 27ae is 945 chipset.

C801 is for the GPIB (488.2) port.  You can download the driver here:

For your unknown devices,

acpi\nic7018 and acpi\nic7019

Use the drivers provided here:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3525135497685A9A86257C89006ABF3F

These are not included in the "NI PXIe-8133 Peripheral Drivers 1.0" .zip file

Hello

Sorry for replying to this old thread but I have a similar Problem. After a new WinXP installation and installing all the drivers, I still have one unknown device. Te unknown device is the second VGA Videocontroller (PCI\VEN_808&DEV_27AE). Where can I get the driver for this device?

I already donwloaded the driver pack for my PXIe-8105, but the VGA driver in this pack only installed the first VGA controller.

Kind Regards and Thanks in advance for your help

Phil

Phil,

Is is possible you are missing a digit from that string?

A search for the device ID 27AE returns the Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family, but the vendor ID is 8086.

http://pcidatabase.com/search.php?device_search_str=27AE

You should be able to find the latest driver for your operating system from Intel.

Vendor 1093 is National Instruments and Device C801 is PCI-GPIB according to

http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/1093/c801

To download and install NI GPIB drivers, try searching the web for NI-488.2 download.

As of now, the latest released version is 17.0.0.

Do you know if there is a version that will work with windows XP? That will only install on Windows 7 or newer.

XP is supported up through version 15.5.  Just search for "NI-488.2 15.5".
