Has anyone had any problems installing the PXI-1045 chassis onto a Dell Latitude (D830) laptop? If not, do you guys know if there is a particular driver that I "may" need to upload on the laptop to get the PXI chassis and Dell to communicate with each other. I've heard from a colleague that this particular Dell D830 laptop does not work with any PXI chassis above an 8-slot configuration. It seems like there should be some way to get two pieces of equipment to work together. I'm not sure, maybe it's a BIOS problem.... Please Help!!!
Have you tried updating the BIOS of the Dell laptop? I know that the D820 has been used together with the PXI-1045 before, but I'm not sure about the D830. There is more information about this here. There's also more information about troubleshooting compatibility issues here.
