Get Relay Position - Software or Hardware?

Hi,

Are the commands to get the Relay Position (both Swtich and DAQmx deprecated) done by software (last command sent) or is there a physical verification?

Can that be used to verify if a relay is fused or defective or requires wetting?

Thanks

Hello,

Which modules are you trying to test out? Are you having an issue with a specific module?

I'm not having issues, however I have a test requires the verification that the circuit is physically complete:

Context in particular: Short the low side of a differential signal (floating ~0V) to ground through the FIU card. We are trying to avoid extra circuitry to detect that the short is physically active.

Notes:

I expanded the question for other use of the commands.

My modules are the PXI-2510 and PXI-2569.

Hello,

The commands for the Get Relay Position VIs only provide a software verification, there is no hardware/physical verification of the connection.  The physical verification will require extra circuitry.
