Failed to load shared library (NiViSrvr.dll)

Hi,

When I tried to remotely connect to a 8184RT controller. I sometimes got an error (please see the attached image). Are there anything wrong of the controller or RTOS?

Hi Bill,

1) What version of LabVIEW RT is installed on the controller?

2) What version of LabVIEW RT is installer on the host PC?

3) Are you trying to connect through MAX?

4) When do you get the error?

1) 7.1

3) Yes and no problem found.

4) I got the error when I tried to connect the PXI using my host PC but it's not show up everytime.

Hi Bill,

You mentioned that you are able to connect to the PXI controller in MAX with no problem.  You also said that you get an error when you tried to connect.  Please describe the problem in more detail.  How are you going about connecting to the PXI controller?

Hi Elizabeth,

I mean I can "see" the PXI in MAX "Remote Systems" without problem. The error message pop up sometimes when I connect the PXI using LabVIEW 7.1 (not using MAX) remotely.

Hi Bill,

Please try modifying the StartupDLLs token by dropping the C:\ni-rt\system\ in front of the DLL names.  They should still be found because C:\ni-rt\system is in the system PATH.

What other software do you have installed?
