2 PXI-7833R cards in one PXI chassis

Hi,

I have a PXI-8196 system. I'd like to plug in 2 PXI-7833R RIO devices. I'd like to know whether there is any problem or constraint to access these 2 cards at the same time. I am supposed that I need to open 2 different FPGA references in the RT target for the 2 cards. Thanks.

Hi Jason, you can use two 7833Rs in the same chassis without any issues.  You will need to open up a reference for each FPGA device.  We actually use two FPGA boards in the same chassis for some of our benchmarks.  If you wanted to look at some example code, you can check out the 16 channel benchmarks at this link: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5207

Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Cheers!
