We faced problem with RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) point which connected to pump. The point reading must be about 117F but the reading increase to reach 266 F which cause pump tripped. We have disconnected the point to measure the ohm and it was giving a healthy reading 116. So, when I returned back to service the reading for RTD back to normal one. What it leads to this problem.
