difference between Normal and Indicate Modes of Alarms

Hi,

Could some one explain me the difference between the Normal and Indicate modes of the Alarms in Veristand.

Does the alarm in indicate mode go into the indicate state when tripped and not the tripped state. I need this information for reading from LabVIEW. I appreciate any help in this regard.

Also the disable and enable of the alarms in runtime is not working from labview. Please suggest me how to do this.

Hello!

Check out the Help doc here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372846G-01/veristand/cp_alarm/

The "Indicate Only" option will NOT trip the alarm when the limit is exceeded; it will only monitor the value specified.

Can you elaborate on your last question?  Are you using the Set Enabled State VI in LabVIEW, and it's not changing the state?  See: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372846G-01/veristandmerge/vs_set_enabled_state_vi/
