Uniquely identify the 9862

With "XCP and CCP Add-on for Veristand," how can I setup to read one specific 9862 CAN module of several?  Each 9862 is in its own cDaq chassis which has a known fixed ip address.  Can I do something  in the system definition file? Thx.

Hello KB_GenMtrs,

With the 9862 CAN module, these should be uniquely identified as CAN ports in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (NI MAX).  In the System Definition for NI VeriStand, you should be able to add a specific CAN port to work with that points back to the identifier from NI MAX.  Working with a specific CAN port should just be based on the port name from NI MAX.

If you find that this is not working for you, please elaborate a little more about your system.  Do you have a Windows PC or a real-time target you are running your System Definition on?  Which cDAQ chassis are you working with?  What version of NI VeriStand and other software do you have?  Let us know and we will help!
