Custom device Pickering 40-295

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on a RealTime application using a Pickering 50-295-121-10/12 PCI card. I'd like to know if I can use the Custom Device "Pickering 40-295", which is for PXI  card, to control my card or if I have to create a new custom device. I also have a problem with this card because I'm not able to identify it under MAX tool and I don't know how to do this. If you have some informations about it, it will be interesting for me.

Regards,

Hi,

To identify pci card, you have to install max, shutdown the pc to install it inside and reboot the pc.

Normally your card must be visible on Max.
If not, there is maybe a driver to download on pickering website.

Otherwise for the custom device, it can be adapted to a pci card.
The main difference is the name of the card which is visible on max.
If custom device has a config file which the name of the pxi card is written;try to replace it by the pci card name.

The card name is maybe written inside the custom device software.if is that, you have to open it to do the modifications.
