Hi,
I have to convert a desktop PC to a VeriStand Real-Time Target.
What are the PC requirements to convert the PC to a VeriStand Real-Time Target? Are they the same as the requirements to convert a PC to a LabVIEW Real-Time target?
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/8239/en
What is the procedure to install the Veristand real-time engine to the RT PC? Is it the same as the procedure to install LabVIEW real time to a RT PC?
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/2733/en/#toc4
And do I need to install LabVIEW real-time engine before installing VeriStand real-time engine?
Last question: Can I install the VeriStand Real-Time engine on a PXI-8115 Windows controller by creating a dual boot by myself? (The PXI-8115 can be purchased with Windows or LabVIEW RT or the dual boot Windows/LabVIEW RT.)
Thanks for your answers.
Best Regards.
David

Hi StephenB,
Thanks for your feedback,
2) Does that mean that to convert a desktop PC to a Real-Time Target for VeriStand I have to purchase t he two following licenses:
- LabVIEW Real-Time Deployment License for Standard PC's- ETS RTOS (777849-35) (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/13751)
- and a NI VeriStand Real-Time Engine (781172-35) (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/207292)
Or the NI VeriStand Real-Time Engine is sufficient?
Best regards,
David
