If you meant to attach the error dialog image, it did not get attached to your post.

1) What was the full, exact error message?

2) Does the file still open with TestStand 2013?

3) What format was the file saved in: INI, XML, or Binary (Open the Sequence File Properties dialog to determine this)?

thanks for your reply.

sorry the interted image was missing, attached it as a file, can it be seen now?

just do a double check, the file works well under V2013.

and the .seq file was saved in 'Binary' format.

Is this on two different machines or the same machine? If it's two different machines, is it possible your region settings on your OS are set differently for the default language to use for non-unicode programs? If so, try setting the TestStand 2014 machine to match the settings of the TestStand 2013 machine. Also make sure that the Station Option under the localization tab has the same settings for "Recognize Multi-byte Characters" on both machines.

Hope this helps,

-Doug
