You will have much more success with this question if you post it to the Veristand forum: http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-VeriStand/bd-p/440
I doubt the Veristand experts are looking at this forum and they are the ones who are better equipped to answer it.
I looked through the help but couldn't find anything in the API that exposed this. If .nivsproj files are ascii you might be able to parse it out.
