When tying to build a deployment I get :
While Analyzing file "N:\Flexnet\Teststand-2013\IO_Board\flexnet.tsw"
Error: Could not locate an absolute path for TestStand workspace objects. You might be missing a file, or you might need to update the search paths.
The display names of the affected objects are:
Serial.c
Refer to the NI TestStand Help for more information about resolving deployment errors.
Searching the sequences in the worksrape file for Serial.c only shows n:\Flexnet\general\Serial_Panel\Serial.c as ModuleSrcPath for one teststep and that file exists definitely. The .tsw and .tpj files ( Teststand 2013) are binary files with no readable occurance of Serial.c.
How to locate the culprit for that error message ?

Hi mkossmann,
I think the best reference for this issue is the TestStand Reference Manual. Chapter 5 has a section called Configuring Search Paths for Deployment that describes how to deploy search paths with a test system. Chapter 14 has a section called Guidelines for Successful Deployment that has good recommendations like using relative paths and manually adding any dynamically referenced files.
Here is the link for the TestStand Reference Manual
