Waiting for events

Hello,

can anybody help me with the following problem:

I want to switch on a Power Supply via IVI driver and in the next step I want to get this switch-on waveform with a DAQ device via dll. In this *.dll there is a notification Procedure to wait for the measure ready event. Is it possible to run the IVI driver and the DAQ dll in separate (parallel) threads that I do not miss the ready event?

If yes....can anbody give me an example
