Order of teststeps and more groups / Reihenfolge der Teststeps und mehrere Groups

Hallo,

Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_1
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_2
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_3
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_1b
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_2b
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_3b
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_1
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_2
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_3
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_1b
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_2b
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_3b

2.) Wie kann ich die Reihenfolge ändern der Testschritte die unter einer Group (bei Insert Step) liegen? Momentan ist die Reihenfolge die der Erstellzeit.

Danke für Tipps

Hello again,
now the same in english:

1.) When creating my own teststeps, then i can create a group under
"Sequence File Type" + "Properties" + "Menu". In this group the teststep can be found when clicking "Insert step" in a seqence-file. Is possible to set two groups for a teststep? (Like at "Insert step" + "synchronisation" + "Advanced" + "Semaphore"? There is the teststep "semaphore" under group_1: "Synchronisation" and then group_2: "advanced". Can this grouping in two groups also be made for my own teststeps?

The order looks the for example like this:
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_1
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_2
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_3
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_1b
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_2b
Insert Step -> Gruppe1 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_3b
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_1
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_2
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group1 -> teststep_3
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_1b
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_2b
Insert Step -> Gruppe2 -> Sub-Group2 -> teststep_3b

2.) How can i change the order of my teststeps that appear under "Insert step" + "group"? Currently the displayed order is the order of the creation time.

Thanks for your help.

Hi NewOne,

You can do all this in the Type Palette window.

Right mouse click on a step type will give you an Edit Menu item ( not sure of the exact wording) to select. Once in this dialog window you will beable to reorder the menu items, by moving an item up or down or you can drag and drop.

You will also beable to create a new groups.

I think there is more information in the TestStand Help.

Hope this helps

Ray,

You'll have to start your own "Ray Nuggets".

Good tip indeed..
