How to import variable amount of property values from Excel

Hello,

I want to use Excel to save limit values for string variables used in numeric limit tests. String variables are predefined and amount of them is constant. The string variables may look like 4QAM, 16QAM, 64QAM, 256QAM etc. Corresponding limit value is numeric. I would like to perform one measurement in time and import limit value corresponding to string variable in numeric limit test. I don't measure all string variables every time. With other words, I want a flexibility to measure a value, compare it to limit value found in Excel for respective string variable.

What is the simplest way to do this ?
