how do I check   in teststand thr' code  that  the   seq runs   under deve.  maschine or deployment

I have to take  a decision based on this input

You need to check the application manager control: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/C7B35D6C41C8CFCD8625798A00749240

It has a method called IsEditor.  That will help you out.
