Deployment Utility: No warning about bad source location / Abort with no error

I found the same issue when try to deply an application in TS2013 32bit.

If the Hw configuration file is initially inserted (filepath) and selected the deployment utility doesn't ask for all the installer sources and the Build process terminates creating the image but aborting, without explanation, the installer.

I try to check the various log file and I found only these information inside the "TSDU Installer Build Log.txt":

   o Merging row: Binary
   o Merging row: Component
   o Merging row: Component
   o Merging row: Component
   o Merging row: Component
   o Merging row: Component
   o Merging row: Component

... (at the end of log file)

Done loading manifests. Skipped (0) + Loaded (845) = Total (845)

After removing the check on Hw config file the deploy utility asks for some other installer files/packages and the the build sucesfuly generates the installer (even after rechecking the hw config file).

I think this is a bug of Deployment utility.

Anybody can confirm this?

The deployment utility has drastically changed since this thread was created.

This issue might have been fixed in TestStand 2014

If anyone gets a chance to test this is TS 2014 and is seeing the same issue, please post here.

I am seeing this error in TestStand 2014 SP1.

The Build log says "Finished Deployment Build" then "Aborted"

Logfile includes "Error: Failed to merge Row: CustomAction into Table: _Validation"

Also at top of log file: NIMdf.dll [MODULE NOT FOUND]

I get this outcome when trying to Install TestStand Runtime.  If I don't check Install TestStand Runtime it builds fine....
