Can the disable test socket entry in the enter UUTs screen be disabled?

While entering the serial numbers of multiple UUT's the disable test socket entry prevents scanning serial numbers without pausing and tabing over the field. Is there any way to "gray out" the entry so it is skipped?

If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like you would like to remove the Disable Test Socket from the tab order in the Enter UUTs window with the Batch Model.  The easiest way to do this is to modify the modelsupport2.dll.  There is a CVI project that is located under C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand\Components\NI\Models\TestStandModels.  The project file is modelsupport2.prj.  In the project under the user interface files, you can modify the Enter UUTs window for the Batch model.  This knowledgebase describes how to remove a control from the tab order.

It sounded like you may be using a scanner that simulates typing the serial number and then presses tab afterwards.  If it was possible to modify what the scanner simulates after entering the serial number, this would be another solution.

NIWewbee,

If you need to modify the process model or one of its components, it is a good practice to make a copy under TestStand\Components\User\Model and modify the copy.
In this way, next time you upgrade your TestStand system, your changes are not overwritten.
TestStand searches for the models under the User directory first, so if you make the copy, the modified file(s) will be used.

Best Regards.
