why offest null does not work

In LM741. I am trying to simulate offset null between pin 1 and 5 with VEE and a 10k POT but there is no effect on the output. Why the model cannot simulate offset null?

Hi there,

The offset null pins on many opamps are not modeled for simulation. You can check which pins are modeled by doing the following:

1. Place the component of interest
2. Double click the component
3. Click on the Value tab
4. Click Edit component in DB
5. Click on the Model tab. You will notice that most schematic symbol pins map to a model node. However, for the LM741, the BAL1 and BAL2 pins are labelled as NC (not connected). Some models will even have their power supply pins not modeled. You can tell because they will have their VS- and VS+ pins labeled as NC. Those obviously won't model large signal clipping.
