Rated polar capacitor turning red

When I start my simulation, my rated polar capacitor immediately turns red and the positive sign goes away. The capacitor doesn't blow up or anything. What does this mean?

Hello,

What's your Multisim version (in Multisim go to Help>>About Multisim)? If you exceed the voltage rating of the capacitor then the component should blow up.

I had a similar problem and I noticed (attached is an example here) that I applied negative voltage upon the capacitor; so make sure you check its potential difference using multimeter.
