I have created a PCB layout in Ultiboard, and got 293/343 connections routed using the top layer and the bottom later as a ground plane. Is there a way to make autorouter cut through the ground plane in the places that it absolutely has to, to complete the circuit?
You delete the plane for now, put a keep out for a critical copper plane pour to prevent traces from entering critical plane requirement, route the board to completion, then re-pour the copper after routing. That is how I would approach it.
