speed sensor advice

Hello! I am doing a project of wind tunnel and I got a NI DAQ 6356. May I know what type of sensor do I need to use to measure the airspeed with my NI DAQ using labview?

You can connect almost any type of sensor to LabVIEW if you have the right hardware.

Better questions are:

1. What kinds of sensors are appropriate to measuring the airspeed in the wind tunnel without disturbing the airflow too much?  A spinning cup anemometer may not be a good choice.  Pitot guages can be used but will also require a pressure transducer, calibration, and scaling of data. Hot wire anemometers may create very little disturbance to the airflow but usually require signal conditioners.

2. What is the range of speeds? What accuracy and resolution?

3. Do you need a speed profile across the throat of the wind tunnel or just a speed measurement at one point?

4. What will you be doing with the data? Display only? Save to file for later analysis? Real-time feedback control?

5. How much other data and of what nature will be acquired along with the speed?
