noDriverError when using Traditional NI-DAQ

I have a PCI-DIO-32HS card that is seen my Measurement & Automation explorer. I have Traditional NI-DAQ 7.3.0f1 installed and am writing my first program using CVI. A call to Get_NI_DAQ_Version() causes a noDriverError. Please help as I am unable to run any software for my card at the moment.

Does the device work OK from MAX? e.g. do test panels and test resources pass?

Are you running the CVI program as a restricted user? If so, the following knowledgeBase articles may be of assistance:

Hi, thanks for the speedy response. MAX shows the device present under Traditional NI-DAQ devices and shows the current settings for IRQ, serial number, address ranges etc. Test panel button is disabled as I think it is not supported for this device. I am not running with admin rights on my XP PC.

I'm fairly certain that Test panels are supported by that device, so the button should be enabled unless something has gone wrong. How about if you going into "properties..." Is the "Test Resources" button enabled? It definitely should be.

Can you log on as administrator or power user to see if that changes the behavior? If so then the above referenced knowledgeBase articles should help fix the problem.

In Properties, the Test Resources and Run Test Panels options are disabled. I will try with an Admin user...
