I would like to install the #6043E  PCI card and VI logger software origionally designed for windows XP onto Windows 8.  I assume a software update and new DAQ drivers are available but can't find VI logger on the NI website.

VI Logger has not been supported for a few years and never on Windows 8. You would want SignalExpress but I can't find any record of a 6043 device.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like mistyped the model number, it is PCI-6034E. Is the latest version of NI-DAQmx (ver 14.2) needed for the windows 8 PCI card driver or is the driver included with this SignalExpress program? I went to http://www.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/tech/lang/en/pg/1/sn/catnav:du,n8:3478.41.181.5495,s... and tried to download http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-14.2/5046/en/ but nothing happens. Assuming I can find a way to download the NI-DAQmx software is this software needed and is there any additional licensing cost for using it? Thank you in advance.

There seems to be problem with the web site. I can't view the download page either. Yes, you need DAQmx and there is no charge for it. When the site is back up, verify that your device is supported.
