high speed temperature measurement solution?

we'd like to sample temperature at 1k+ Hz, NI 4350 only gives 60 samples/s. any hardware gives 1k+ samples/s?

Which transducer are you using to mesaure temperature? What kind of precision do you require for your measurement?

The answer depends on what type of temperature sensor you are using. If you are using RTD's, the SCXI-1581 can be used as the excitation source while the SCXI-1102B or 1102C (200 Hz or 10 kHz LP filter) will do the amplification and filtering. The excitation level used with thermistors can depend on the temperature range that you are inspecting. The SCXI-1581 may be an option depending on the temperature range. If you are reading thermocouples at that rate, you can use the SCXI-1102B or C by itself with the SCXI-1303 terminal block.

You could also come up with a couple creative SCC solutions as well.

You could use the system that you suggested. Just realize that the TC02 has a 2 Hz lowpass filter on it to reject any type of unwanted noise coming from the transducer. I'm not really sure why you would want to sample temperature at such high rates. Sampling at 1kS/sec would mean that you are trying to capture temperature readings that are changing at a rate close to 500 Hz... and that's pretty extreme.

what does the 2 Hz filter mean? does this filter limit the sampling rate?

It doesn't limit the sampling rate. It limits the frequency of the signal that could be read by the hardware. Basically, if tried passing a 4 Hz sine wave into the TC02, it would get rejected by the LPF. Since you're dealing with thermocouples, this shouldn't be a issue. The filter will simply help to increase the accuracy of your measurements by blocking higher frequency noises.
