This could happen for a number of reasons. If you had a program that only did continuous analog input and put it on a graph, then the amount of data stored at any one time would not exceed the size of the graph history. If you are doing something else with the incoming data, then it might cause the computer to store ALL of the data. Can you describe exactly what you rprogram is doing? Maybe attatch a small portion of your code that exhibits this.
