Hey,
I have a NI DAQPad-6015 device and am unable to download the driver. I believe it is because I have Vista. Is there a way to make the device work on a Vista operating system?

Hello remotecntrl,
The NI DAQPad-6015 uses the DAQmx driver, which has supported the Vista operating system since version 8.5. If you are trying to download and install an earlier version it will not work.
The latest version of NI DAQmx recommended for this device and the Vista operating system is version 8.7.2.

Hi All-
Actually, the DAQpad-6015 and DAQpad-6016 devices are not currently supported on Windows Vista by any version of NI-DAQmx. The NI-DAQmx 8.8 readme documents this.

Sorry for all the confusion, let me clear this up. DAQmx has supported Vista since version 8.5, however the Legacy DAQPads (like the 6015 and 6016) and DAQCards were not supported. This was not documented in the original readme but has since been added. Due to demand, we added Vista support for the DAQCards in DAQmx 8.8 and while we don't officially support (or test or document this (sorry Tom)) the DAQPads, DAQmx 8.8 does have device support for the USB-6015 and USB-6016 for Vista 32 bit (Vista 64 bit is still not supported.)
So if you want to use your 6015 with 32 Bit Vista you need to use DAQmx 8.8.
Sorry for the confusion,

Hello,
I have the same question because I have a DAQPad-6015 and my Windows does not have a driver associated with this device. Can I do to run my DAQPad-6015?
Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bits
Thanks,
