custom scale created in MAX seems to not support negative y-axis intercept

Hello,

I created a linear custom scale to use with a M-Series Multifunction Board. When I put positive y-axis intercepts everything works fine.
But as soon as I try to use negative values it doesn't work anymore.

I use DAQmx 7.4 with TS 3.1 and CVI 7.1. The communication with the board is done by CVI functions.

Hi Steffen

Does it work if you test it directly in MAX by using
the test panel?

what does exactly happen if you had negative intercepts?

Hello Manuel,

I don't have any possibilities to test it in MAX... on the test panel for analog output there's no option to use a scale.

If I use negative intercepts the step hangs up, it doesn't even run into timeout.

Hi Steffen

I think about the test pannel in your NI-DAQmx-Tasks.
Have you set valid values for your max-min voltage in your task?
You maybe have to change it if it comes over 10V with your negative y-axis intercepts

Hi Manuel,

I had a look at the min/max values in the tasks but they are allright even with negative intercepts. But in a former answer you mentioned to try the scale with the test panel in MAX. How?

I attached a screenshot of the testpanel, I don't see any possibility to use a scale there...

hi Steffen,

found this link.

did you try to scale/set the axis in CVI with a function?
