analog output repeats itself when I dont want it to

Solved!
Go to solution

I am using Signal Express with a SCB-68 connected to a PXI-6255 to generate and record an analog signal. The first step loads an ASCII file that contains an analog signal. the second step uses the ASCII file to generate an analog output. the Generation Mode is set to N Samples and Samples to Write is equal to the number of entries in the ASCII file. The third step records the analog output.

The problem is that when the buffer associated with generating the output fills up, it goes back to the beginning of the ASCII file and repeats the entire length of the signal. Under Advanced Timing of step two I set the Regernation Mode to Do not allow regeneration but this has not helped.

Any ideas as to how to get it to stop generating a signal when it gets to the end of the ASCII file?

Hi Kyle,

The deafult is for the program to run continously:

If you go to Configure Run or Run Once, you should be able to go through the ASCII file once.
